About
Working in collaboration with directing duo, A Common Future, we directed this short film to launch Audemars Piguet’s new luxury watch at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie. The watch, which retails at $1m, is the crowning jewel in the brand's collection and an incredible feat of design and craftsmanship.
The film featured the stunning landscape in which the watch was crafted, the Vallee du Joux in Switzerland. This was paired together with an abstract studio space containing sound recording apparatus and visceral abstract forms. Within this environment a dazzling array of analog visual effects unfold to create a sense of the Vallee’s natural forces being woven into each of the defining features of the timepiece. In particular, the Roc Repeater itself, a mechanical sonic chime like no other.
